It’s getting close to that time! 5 weeks to go!!!

I visited my doctor this week and baby is doing fine.her measurements are accurate and her heartbeat measures at 155 bpm! Strong sister I tell ya!! Since my last visit 2 weeks ago, there has been no change in my weight. I am 142 lbs. I was suffering for severe tension headaches (which is common in pregnancy), and it disturbed my whole being. It felt as if something was pinching the inside of my nose every time I inhaled and sharp pains traveled from the back of my head and worked its way to my jaws. It was painful! This pregnancy was definitely one of a kind! This is what American Pregnancy had to say about the headaches… “Headaches during the third trimester tend to be related more to poor posture and tension from carrying extra weight. Headaches during the third trimester may also be caused by a condition called preeclampsia, which is high blood pressure during pregnancy.” (www.americanpregnancy.org)  Luckily, I only dealt with it a few days and no issues occurred. I am grateful for my mini vacation from school so I wouldn’t be putting such a strain on myself.

This is my progress summed up courtesy of babycenter.com:

Your baby doesn’t have much room to maneuver now that she’s over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds. Because it’s so snug in your womb, she isn’t likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times she kicks should remain about the same. Her kidneys are fully developed now, and her liver can process some waste products. Most of her basic physical development is now complete — she’ll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.

My next pregnancy project will be my DIY photo shoot. I am excited to share my baby bump with you all…so stay tuned!!
